“As for a mantra, I wrote down an Emily Dickinson line from the poem Ghosts on a folded piece of paper I have been carrying around in my pocket:

‘One need not be a chamber to be haunted’

Being haunted is one of the essential components of being human, maybe. At least for artists.”
